MOMUMA INTERNATIONAL
Future Generations Program
As we are so frequently reminded in todays world, classical musical traditions depend most not on the performer, but the listener - that nonprofessional, that connaisseur of sound, that ear, which is able to connect the human soul to the spirit of great composers. Should society lose that ability fully, will no master performer be of use any longer on the concert stage and one of our greatest traditions will be lost to time.
With that in mind, we have partnered with the Gliga Violin Manufacturing Group to provide our participants with the unique opportunity to share their passion with children from local communities by introducing them to the instrument in an informal and familiar setting, where they can try their own hand (and ear) at the craft. In a series of two inhouse sessions outside the daily practice routine of the masterclass, a number of selected students will learn to demonstrate, interact and teach using traditionally handcrafted, beautiful Gliga instruments, while spreading musical joy and creating long lasting memories amongst the youngest members of our big musical family.
