Alexander Scherbakov

Violinist, pedagogue and conductor Alexander Scherbakov has grown to recognition in the early 2000s as one of the most captivating and musically gifted performers of the pre-YouTube generation. A laureat of international competitions, he is today regularly invited to perform, teach and lecture around the world, often collaborating with some of the worlds finest artists and great conductors. Carrying a vast repertoire of concerto and recital works from early baroque to twentieth century, he attracts audiences with a youthful but profound approach to some of the most beloved works of the violin literature and is considered unique in his gift for the interpretation of the romantic miniature. A gifted pedagogue and direct descendant of the Russian violin school, he continues to nurture young and dedicated musicians in the best traditions of the great Leopold Auer.
